April brings the conclusion of our speaker series, Sexuality & Health Disparities: A Focus on Sexual Minority Populations. We have three great speakers planned for this month:
- Friday, April 5th at 1pm: Dr. Susan Cochran, Professor of Statistics and Epidemiology at the Fielding School of Public Health, UCLA: A population health perspective on sexual orientation, mental health, and substance use
- Friday, April 12th at 1pm: Dr. Michael Woodford, Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of Michigan School of Social Work: “That’s so gay!” Contemporary campus climate and the health and mental health of sexual minority and heterosexual college students
- Thursday, April 18th at 1pm: Dr. Ilan Meyer, Senior Scholar for Public Policy at the Williams Institute for Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy at the UCLA School of Law: Minority stress and mental health in sexual minorities: Conceptual perspectives, research findings, and critiques
